Waves uses Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi to connect you with people physically nearby. Spot someone interesting, send a wave — if they wave back, you both get each other's contact and take it from there.
No profile-browsing strangers from across the world. Waves only works when you're actually there, in person.
Waves scans using Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi. People physically around you who also have Waves open appear in your Nearby list — usually within seconds.
Spot someone interesting? Tap Wave. They get notified with your name. If they wave back — it's mutual. No awkward one-sided gestures.
A mutual wave creates a Vibe. You both see each other's contact info (Instagram, email…) exactly as you set it up. The rest is up to you.
Waves is for adults who want to make genuine connections. We take a few simple steps to make sure it stays that way.
Waves requires users to be 18 or older — not because the app contains adult content, but because we are serious about protecting children. Anyone under 18 is blocked from creating a profile.
When you upload a profile photo, Google ML Kit checks it entirely on your device — one face only, no inappropriate content. The photo never leaves your phone for this check.
Block anyone instantly. Blocked users can no longer discover you. Repeated reports from multiple users trigger automatic restrictions — protecting the whole community.
Everything — your profile, your connections, your contact info — lives only on your device. We have nothing to delete because we store nothing.
Profiles are exchanged directly phone‑to‑phone over Bluetooth / Wi‑Fi Direct.
Your Instagram, email, or other contact info is never visible until both parties wave.
Uninstalling the app removes everything. No deletion request needed, no residual data.
Your Waves ID is generated once on your device and never sent to any server. It is not linked to your real identity anywhere.
Free to download. No subscription. No ads. Just real friendships with real people nearby.
